Centrally based in Rustington, we are an active Scout Group with two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs, two Scout Troops and an Explorer unit with around 150 young people in our charge
Please keep checking back as we develop this page, or drop us a line if you’re able to add some information
Scouting was first visible in Rustington in 1923 with Millfield Troop, who met at Rustington Metropolitan Asylum Board, but 1st Rustington Scout Group was later established in October 1928 alongside Millfield.
Our current hall was built in 1974.

With thanks to the Heritage Team and Gilwell Park, we’ve managed to get our hands on a copy of the 1928 registration certificate.
